Supported Community Connections

FSL offers Supported Community Connections through the SLS and DD Medicaid waivers. In a joyful and creative environment we provide opportunities for individuals to discover their passions, contribute to their communities, and live their unique purpose.

Our Day Program coordinates meaningful volunteer opportunities and experiences that enhance the lives of our clients. With more than 10 volunteer sites ranging from food service to animal rescues to an auto shop, clients are encouraged to pursue interests of their choice. Additionally, individuals participate in fitness and social activities.

Client to staff ratios are typically 1:4 and allow the individuals to learn, grow, become independent and contribute to the community in their own way. Day program transportation is provided by Make A Way, Envida, and Metro Mobility in Colorado Springs and Access-a-Ride in Denver. 

FSL works with the following Community Centered Boards :

  • The Resource Exchange – Serving El Paso and Teller County

  • Developmental Pathways Serving Douglas County, Parker and Castle Rock

  • Rocky Mountain Human Services  Serving the Denver area

  • North Metro Community Services  Serving Adams County
HCBS Waiver Programs

The SLS & DD Waivers serve individuals 18 and older with developmental disabilities and Autism. FSL provides the following services:

  • ​Supported Community Connections
  • ​Spec Hab (Specialty Courses only)
  • Massage Therapy 

The CES and CHRP Waivers serve families and their children  with developmental disabilities and Autism. FSL provides Massage Therapy on the CES and CHRP waivers in Colorado Springs, and the CES waiver in Denver.
