Learn about various career fields, qualifications, and skill requirements for employment in your area of interest. An employment specialist will assist you with the following:
- Learn the different meanings, values, and demands of specific careers and career related requirements
- Develop self-assessment and exploration skills
- Access community resources and employment networks
- Determine the career path you would like to take
Job Development and Retention
Obtain and maintain competitive employment in an integrated work environment consistent with your goals and abilities. An employment specialist will assist by providing the following services:
- Job Search Skills Development
- Job Search Assistance and Job Placement
- Short Term Job Supports
- Supported Employment
- Extended Services
- Post-Employment Services
